"Small Wonder" Does what it's supposed to. Worked as adv. Don't let the small size fool you.
It also gives me a 10000-point tracklog and is easy to use.Maps are something you should buy on paper because paper will still work if you are out of AAA batteries. Beyond that, this is a great GPS. This is about the most perfect GPS ever made. The downside is that this thing really needs a place to attach a lanyard. I've had mine for over four years now. I tried to replace it recently, but I couldn't find a newer model that offers what this model does. It's small, light, waterproof, and cheap.
I have learned how to angle the screen of the Geko in my hand so that I can take a digital image of the long-lat-elev-date-time readings for my record keeping purposes. This is my second Geko 201. although I had to send my first Geko back to Garmin to get it repaired for a blank screen. The product works well in the USA and internationally and is relatively trouble-free,. I use the product primarily in confirming stopping points during trips to surface faclities of coal mines. The Geko fits conveniently in my shirt or jacket pocket.
Also, you can load waypoints on, just not maps. I've only been able to test it at 30*Farenheight. I highly suggest getting this gps, especially if you'r going to use for biking, geocaching, hiking, or just wondering around, not wanting to get lost. This is a great gps. You just make an account on [.]., buy the cable, and load the waypoints. I've only put one set of batteries in the gps and it's lasted 1 month of almost daily use on 1 bar of battery. It is amazingly small and it was a LOT smaller than I thaught. The only problem i've found is that the screen seems to take longer and longer to transition to the next screen the colder it get's.
Company that shipped it said Amazon listed the wrong item and offered to refund all my money plus shipping. This is not the item I received. Instead got some crappy friction material that had nothing to do with a GPS.
